Cornell L. Morris

A beautiful earthly life came to a close on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 when Mr. Cornell Lee Morris was called to eternal rest at Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.

Born in Greenville County, SC on Thursday, January 25, 1951, he was a son of  the late Larry and Brazella Lyles Morris.

Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County he was a lifelong member of The United House of Prayer and a U S Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Morris and a son, Cornell Jr., loving memories will  forever be cherished by: his wife, Patricia Bivings Morris; sons, Elijah (Kesha) Cannon, Abraham (Tiffany) Cannon of Charlotte, NC, Matthew (Tarsha) Cannon, Joshua Cannon and Sampson Morris, both of Greenville, SC; daughters, Arica Hooper of Charlotte, NC, Patricia (James) Boatwright of Greenville, SC and Mary Morris of Atlanta, GA;  sisters, Dorothy (Armsted) Harris of Gastonia, NC, Shirleen “Sis” (Garfield) Dawkins and Dot Grayson, all of Greer, SC; a brother, Larry (Genise) Morris of Fayetteville, NC; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm Sunday, May, 22, 2016 in The United House Of Prayer For All People with Apostle J. Walker, officiating.

Burial, with Military Rites, will follow on Monday, May 23, 2016 in The M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
