Greer, SC: Martha Louise McIntyre, daughter of the late Sam and Janie Stroble McIntyre was born in Boiling Springs, SC on Sunday, October 14, 1928.

Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Wilbert Nesbitt.

Martha joined Cedar Grove Baptist Church at an early age and was employed as a presser for Johnson’s Cleaners in Newburg, NY.

She was preceded in death by her children, David and Laymond Nesbitt and her siblings, Rachael Epps and Lottie Byrd.

Surviving are: a son, Virgie (Cynthia) Bell of Easley, SC; a daughter, Jokeitha Thompson of Greenville, SC; a sister, Catherine Logan of Spartanburg, SC; 21 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Cedar Grove Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Jerome Rabb and Rev. Miles Goldsmith, officiating . Burial will follow 11:00 am Monday Morning in Wood Memorial Park, Duncan, SC.

Her remains will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm Sunday to lie in state until the hour of services.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Jokeitha Thompson, 309 Verner Drive, Greenville, SC 29617.
