Mr. Matthews Kearse

Taylors, SC: Mr. Matthews Kearse, husband of Betty Williams Kearse, of 20 Riverside Drive, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence.

A native of Orangeburg, SC, he was a son of the late Henry and Missouri Austin Kearse, a retired concrete truck driver for The Metromont Corporation of Greenville, SC and a member of Aiken Chapel Baptist Church.

Also surviving are: a sons, Stanley (Colisa) Kearse of Stateboro, GA and Kenneth (Linda Sue) Durham of Greenville, SC;  daughters, Debra Nance of the home, Linda Durham of North Charleston, SC, Violet Davis of Atlanta, GA, Letitia Makins and Sherica Kearse , both of Taylors, SC; a brother, Thurman Kearse of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.

 Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Aiken Chapel Baptist Church with the pastor, Dr. W. O. Harrison, officiating.

The family is receiving friends at the home.
