Janie Lou (Harris) Davis

Janie Lou Davis 95, of 125 Tremont Avenue entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 5, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Carrie Foster Harris, a retired housekeeper for First Presbyterian Church in Greer, SC,  and a dedicated and long time member of Greater St. James Temple in Inman, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Davis and her siblings: Virginia Dodd of Greer, SC, James Alexander of Lyman, SC and Thomas Alexander of Sacramento, CA.

Surviving are: a daughter, Dora Graham of the home; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in The Fred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 until 10:45 AM in Greater St. James Temple.

A Celebration of Life will be live Streamed on Facebook GSJT at 10:00 AM Friday February 9, 2024 in Greater St. James Temple in Inman, SC with Apostle S. Derrall Beason, officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
