It's been so long that I don't know if anyone will see this but I still give my deepest condolences to anyone that may check because I know this leaves a void that will never be filled.
Barry and my dad were really good friends a long time ago and I had searched for him online throughout the years but was never able to come up with anything. He crossed my mind again today so I decided to search again and came across this. Although I haven't seen nor spoken to him in a very long time it still leaves me sad to hear this. He was a really great guy who was in my life a whole lot when I was a kid. Hate that I lost touch.

We offer our deepest condolences to Barry's daughter, family and friends. I have been friends with Barry since the 70's; he was with me when I met my wife and when my daughter was born. We played a lot of baseball together back in the day and also became close friends. We drifted apart a little, but always managed to stay in touch. His friendship, positive energy and laughter are things I will cherish. May you rest in peace, we will miss you.

Family we are praying for you! Deacon Barry Dickey was so faithful at New Light Baptist Church in Harlem, New York! He served with all of his heart. He was one of the founding members of our church and we were a better church because of him. He taught everyone what it meant to serve the Lord with joy!! We will miss him, but we will see him again! With much love, Pastor Bobby Lewis, Senior Pastor
