Richmond Hill, GA: Mrs. Cleola Talley Peppers, of 159 Brigham Drive, formerly of 629 West End Manor, Union, SC, answered the Masters Call on sunday, March 24, 2019 in St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, GA.
Native of Union County, she was a daughter of the late Toy Talley and the late Maude Hughes. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family. A son, James Peppers Jr, two daughters, Lillie Maude Grant and Patrick Sweet, a brother, Toy Talley Jr, a sister, Derome Cole, and a grandson, Kenneth Brown, all preceded her in death.
Surviving are: 4 grandchildren; Mrs. Kianna (Ken) Wynn of the home, Eddie and Patrick Sweet of Miami, FL and James Peppers of Spartanburg, SC; numerous great grandchildren, including Ashtyn and Ariel Wynn of Richmond Hill, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including a special friend Mrs. Amelia Glenn of Union, SC.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Corinth Baptist Church, 302 Herndon St., Union, SC, 29379 with the pastor Rev. J. Archie Calhoun, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Society Cemetery followed by repass at the church.
Her remains will be placed in the church at 11:00 AM Saturday to lie in state until the hour of services.
