Donald King

Donald King, of 4 Ivy Trail, answered the Masters Call on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Prism Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Melvin King Sr. and the late Maybelle Jackson King.

Educated in the public schools of Greenville County, SC, he was a concrete finisher by trade and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Donald was preceded in death by his siblings, Marshall and Dennis W. “Dinky” King and Willie Lee Dodd.

Surviving are: his fiancee, Carolyn Roberts of the home; sons, Shane Cruell of Greenville, SC and Anthony Carson of Taylors, SC;  daughters, Amanda and Lakesha King, both of Taylors and Tracie (Russell) Burton of Greenville, SC;  brothers, Eckard King of Greenville, SC and Melvin King Jr. of Taylors, SC; sisters, Marion Fowler of Greer, SC and Frankie Venessa Earle of Simpsonville, SC; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 Sunday, March 3, 2019 in Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome A. Rabb and Rev. Ruby Benson, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
