Marie Hardy Obituary

Greer, SC: A beautiful life of an English lady was rewarded on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from Greer Healthcare and Rehab to her permanent home in heaven.  Marie Hardy accepted her wings and flew off to join those in that home not built with hands, but whose maker and builder is God.

A native of Yorkshire, England, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Fletcher) Wilson. She met and married an American serviceman, Charles Hardy, and came back as a WWII war-bride in 1946.  She worked in a manufacturing company for over 40 years in Maine, before moving to SC.  She attended Trinity Bible Church in Greer, SC for over 20 years.

Surviving are:  son,  Jeffrey Hardy and his wife, Tricia, of Mocksville, NC; a daughter, Patricia Mariner and her husband, David Mariner of Greer, SC; a grandson, Dana Dill of Poland; a granddaughter, Tiffany Nething and her husband, Brian of Phoenix, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Wesley Dill (Raleigh, NC), Paul and Maryanna Dill (Taylors, SC), and Petra Nething (Phoenix, AZ). She is survived by her brother, Gerald Wilson, of Yorkshire, England; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives in England and many friends in the USA.
