Angela Talbert Prater

Angela Talbert Prater, 53, of 922-B South Liberty St, Wife of Harold Prater of Spartanburg, SC was called from labor to reward on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Spartanburg Medical Center.

Native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of John Willie Moore and Christine McAbee Thompson of Spartanburg, and the Step- daughter of the Late Thomas L. Thompson.

Angela was educated in the public schools of Spartanburg county and was a graduate of Spartanburg High School Class of 1985 she received her Associate degree from Spartanburg Technical College, her BS degree and Master’s  Degree from Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC.

She was a member of “It’s All About Him Christian Ministries” in Spartanburg, SC. and a former Respiratory Therapist for Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney, SC.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Bobby Moore of Spartanburg, SC and Timothy Prater of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Johnny (Barbara) Moore of Simpsonville, SC, Ray Prater of GA and Shannon Thompson of Spartanburg, SC: 4 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in the Rev. John H. Gilmore Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Mary Canty, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
