Barbara Ann (Hunter) Carlock

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Hunter-Carlock on January 27, 2025, at the age of 66. Barbara Ann was born on April 21, 1958 in Gaffney, SC to the late Hayward “Tom” and Bessie Sims Hunter.

Barbara Ann attended Greer High School and graduated in the Class of 1976. She was known for her strong will, unwavering determination and love for her family and friends.

Early in her life she was affiliated with Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Greer, SC. She was a former machine operator for J P Stevens in Greer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Guyton, uncles, David, Frankie, Larrie and Howard Hunter.

Surviving are: aunts, Mary “Tennie” Gist of Union, SC, Mary Annie-Louise Bennett of Greer, SC and Ann Staggs of Wellford, SC; uncles, Robert “Bo Pete” (Bobbie) Hunter of Fairmont, SC, Nathaniel (Janie) Hunter of Greer, SC and Sammie Hunter of Columbia, SC.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February, 2, 2025 in The Chapel of The Gilmore Mortuary.
