Barbara Ann (McCray) Smith

Barbara Ann McCray Smith, 72 of 103 School Street, wife of Johnny Nathaniel Smith of Spartanburg, SC, passed on Friday, December 11, 2020 in Prisma Health North Greenville Hospital in Travelers Rest, SC.

Native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Jenkins and Daisy Lee McCray.

She attended the public schools of Greenville County, SC, and was a member of Christian Fellowship Bibleway Church in Greer and a former CNA.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jasper Jenkins Jr.

Also surviving are: her sons, Johnny Nathaniel (Angela) Smith of Spartanburg, SC and Keith (Barbara) Smith of Greer, SC; sisters, Linda Jackson of Taylors, SC, Millie Suber, Deloris Mills of Greer, SC, Minnie (Jerry) Thornton, Brenda A. Mills of Duncan, SC, Shirley J. Jenkins of Spartanburg, SC and Stephanie D. (John) Whitten of Easley, SC; brothers, Jeremiah Jenkins of Greer, SC, Winfield (Willie Mae) Jenkins, Frankie James and Johnny Layne Jenkins of Wellford, SC; a god daughter, Lakayla O’Neal of Taylors, SC; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 6 PM Wednesday December 16, 2020 in The Rev. John H. Gilmore Slumber Room of The GilmoreMortuary.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 3:00 PM  in the chapel of The Gilmore Mortuary with Bishop Courtney Cohen, officiating.
