Ben Lee Smith

Ben Lee Smith, 86, of 160 Old Greenville Road, was called from labor to rest on Thursday October 29, 2020 in his residence.  

Native of Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Warrie and the late Annie Ruth Moore Smith.

Ben was a heavy equipment operator by trade and was the former owner and operator of Southland Grading Company in Spartanburg.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Mae Hill Smith and a brother, Billy Smith.

Surviving are: a son, Darryl Lee (Melinda) Smith of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Dee (Jay) Bragg of Cowpens, SC and Pamela Roberson (Steven Hayes) of Spartanburg, SC; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
