Betty Ann (Williams) Kearse

Betty Ann Kearse 86, of 20 Riverside Drive, widow of Matthew Kearse was granted her wings on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Boyce Earl and Viola Pullem Barton, a former employee of Piedmont Shirt Factory and a member of Aiken Chapel Baptist Church.   

She loved her family, doing crossword puzzles, listening to gospel music, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Kearse and her sibling Dorothy Gash.

Also surviving are: sons, Stanley (Colisa) Kearse of Statesboro, GA, and Kenneth (Linda) Durham Simpsonville, SC; daughters, Debra Nance of the home, Linda (Julius) Mitchell of Knightsville, SC, Letitia (LaMeek) Makins of Greer, SC, Sherica Kearse of Taylors, SC, and Violet (James) Davis of Austell, GA; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 6:00 pm Friday January 6, 2023 in the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of the Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday January 7, 2023 in Aiken Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Aiken Chapel Rd Taylors, SC with the Pastor, Reverend Vincent Anderson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
