Catherine Josephine (Wilkins) Thomas

Early in the afternoon on May 29, 2022 the Lord in his great wisdom quietly dispatched an angel to The Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC to escort Mrs. Catherine Wilkins Thomas out of this life to relocate to her new heavenly home.

Native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter the late Daniel Wilkins and the late Josephine Glenn Wilkins.

Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County she was formerly employed as a CAN at Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC.

She loved life and her Church Family.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Teresa Evans and her siblings, Sara Jane and Sylvennia Wilkins.   

Surviving are: a son, Ivan (Mary Ann) Thomas of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Annette (Kelvin) Fernanders of the home; brothers, Lee Daniel (Hester) Wilkins of Campobello, SC, Calvin D. (Barbara) Wilkins of Neptune, NJ, Issac (Jacqueline) Wilkins and Noah (Sandra) Wilkins of Wellford, SC, Dr. John (Marylin) Wilkins of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Hattie Mae Jones of Spartanburg, SC; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  

 Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Zion Hill Baptist Church in Inman, SC with Rev Ray Pilgrim, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
