Clara Ruth Talley

Ms. Clara Ruth Talley, of 110 Cannon Avenue, answered the Masters Call on Monday, March 23, 2020 at her residence.

A native of Greer, she was a daughter of the late Junior Pinkney and Laura Lee Talley Dodd.

She attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Greer, SC, and was a former employee of Apalache Mill in Greer.

Clara Ruth was well known in the Greer community and was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: her brother Anthony Dodd , and a grandchild, Sandtoria Jones .

Also surviving are: sons, Bobbie Jonathan Talley and Brian Keith Talley and a daughter Kathy Talley of Greer, SC, brothers Paul Talley, Anthony Dodd, Thomas Dodd and Craig Johnson, of Greer, SC, sisters Deborah Jean Dodd, Laura Ann Dodd, and Sharon Dodd of Greer, SC; 7 grandchildren;  20 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2020 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Iva Jean Rice, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Services are entrusted to the care of The Gilmore Mortuary.
