Cynthia Ann (Rice) Mayes

Cynthia Ann Rice, of 120 Dusty Pine Court, gained her heavenly wings on Monday, May 5, in St. Francis Downtown Medical Center, Greenville, SC.

Native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Eli and Hattie Mae Young Mayes, a former seamstress and of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl, Billy and Russell “Bo” Mayes, Sarah Ruth Holley and Bobby Jean Rosemond.

Surviving are: sons, Willie Anthony and Keith Raymond Rice; a daughter, Kenya Shardaye Henderson, all of the home; sisters, Martha Beatrice (Randy) White of Simpsonville, SC and Shirley Mae Green of Greenville, SC; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews;  other relatives and many friends; a very special friend of more than 32 years, Perry Lenwood Henderson of the home.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
