Elizabeth Dillard Obituary

Bertha Elizabeth “ Bootsie” Dillard of 372 Skyland Road, died Wednesday June 10, 2020 in Prisma Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Native of Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late George and Bertha Mae Beasley Miller, a former cook for Lewis Drive In and of the Baptist faith.

She was an avid book lover, a loving grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. One of her hobbies was baking cakes and pies.

She was preceded in death by a son, Justin Dillard and two sisters, Dorothy Jean Smith and Lois Cleveland.

Survivors include: Anthony Miller and John Dillard Jr.; daughters, April Miller and Devonda Miller; a brother, Stanley Miller, all of Greer; sisters, JoAnn Miller of Lyman and Louvenia Whiteside of Greer; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grands; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Private services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of The Gilmore Mortuary with Rev. Uldrick A. Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. ***COVID-19 precautions will be observed at both the Mortuary and the Cemetery.*** We ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask.
