Gloria Sarah (Clark) Gaskin

Gloria S. Gaskin was born April 8, 1943 in Gaffney, SC to Thomas and Ernestine Davis Clark.

She attended the public schools of Cherokee County and was a 1961 graduate of Granard High School. She furthered her education at Greenville Technical College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare.

Gloria relocated to Long Branch, NJ where she resided until her retirement from Mamouth Medical Center as a Clerical Assistant.

In her later years, she relocated to Taylors, SC. She joined Maple Creek Baptist Church in Greer, SC and served as a member of the Missionary Society.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Sammy Clark; and a sister, Evangelist Ruby C. Askew.

She departed this life on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital in Greer.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by:  a son, Darrel Gaskin of the home; sisters, Mary Greer of Greenville, SC and Thelma Clark of Taylors; a host of nieces, including a devoted niece, Mia Garcia of Taylors; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be held on Saturday October 14, 2023 from 1:00 until 5:00 PM in the

Fred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, October 15, 2023 in Maple Creek

Baptist Church with the Pastor, Dr. Earl D. Simmons, officiating.
