Grady Lee Hill

Mr. Grady Lee Hill Sr. of 176 Addis Trail entered into eternal rest on Tuesday Morning, September 14, 2021 in Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Forest City, NC, he was a son of the late Roscoe and Ida Bell Kirkendoll Hill.

Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County he was a graduate of Ryders Rental Truck Driving School in Atlanta, GA., and Overnite Truck Driving School in Spartanburg. He was a member of Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church and a former Truck Driver for Wise Trucking Company in Spartanburg. He retired as owner-operator of Hoss Trucking of Spartanburg, SC.

Mr. Hill was a quiet and humble man, always generous and charitable to all. He loved to make bird houses, fishing and rooting for The Carolina Panthers Football Team. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his children; Marcus Avery and Shirley Hill.

Surviving are: his wife, Annie Lee Collins Hill of the home; sons, Pastor Barrett Trent (Beverly) Hill of Cowpens, SC, Grady Lee Hill Jr. and Gustavous (Consonya) Hill, both of Duncan, SC; daughters, Tresia Renial Ann Hill and Katrina Hill Moody, both of Spartanburg; brothers, Garvin (Penny) Hill of Wellford, SC and Hollis (Mary) Hill of Lyman, SC; sisters, Callie Foster of Stafford VA and Rachel Dillard of Wellford, SC; 27 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
