Henry Eugene Bomar

Henry Eugene Bomar, 71, son of the late Mem and Annie Bell Gregory Bomar was called from labor to reward on Monday, August 22, 2022 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.

Born in Spartanburg County, SC he was a graduate of Florence Chapel High School, a former Machine Operator for United Forest Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg, SC,  and a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank and Ronald Bomar, Josephine Hughes and Jessie Porter and also the mother of Porchia and Marquet Makupsons mother, Deon L. Makupson.

Henry enjoyed football season and was always guilty of rooting for his favorite team “The Dallas Cowboys”.  

Surviving are: sons, Henry Junior Mack of Spartanburg and Marquet Makupson of Cowpens, SC; a daughter, Porchia Makupson of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Mem Bomar Jr. of Spartanburg, SC, Michael Anthony (Amy) Bomar of Greenville, SC and Rex Allen Bomar of Startex, SC; sisters, Katie Irby, Patricia Ashmore, Queen Bomar and Julia Foster, all of Spartanburg, SC; 3 grandchildren; a host of  nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2022 at The Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leon Wright, officiating.
