Henry Mayfield

Henry “Sunny” Mayfield, 84, husband of Judith Grayson Mayfield of 102 Aster Drive took a walk with the Angels early Saturday Morning, June 1, 2024 just after the new month arrived. 

Born Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Booker T. and Lucille Morris Mayfield.

Educated in the public schools of Greenville County, he was brick mason by trade an a member of Maple Creek Baptist Church where he was a member of The All Male Chorus and the Jones Choir.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Henrietta Denise Grayson.

Left to cherish loving memories are: his wife, Judith Mayfield; sons, Leon and Lee Earl Mayfield all of the home, Henry Jeffrey (Patty) Mayfield of Inman, SC and David Michael (JoAnn) Grayson of Wellford, SC; daughters, Elain Grayson of Greenville, Lucille Mayfield of Spartanburg, Angela Mayfield of Greer and Terri (Hayward) Wright of NC; sisters, Evelyn Mayfield and Julia Mae (W.J.) Teasley both of Greer, SC. a host of grandchildren,  great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 until 6:00 pm on Wednesday June 5, 2024 in the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Maple Creek Baptist Church.with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
