James Otis Hoke

James Otis Hoke, 88, of 104 Oakland Avenue, # 2, died Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC.

Born in Greer SC, he was a son of the late Odes James and Clara Johnson Hoke, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greer, and a former Brick Mason.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Orrhonda Anita Hoke; sisters, Arthena Rodgers, Velma Fuller, Thelma Ryan, Christen Rodgers and a brother, Dewey Hoke

Also surviving are: daughters, Cielito  Dodd and Samantha Hoke of Greer, Barbara Wright and Sharon Hoke of Lyman, SC and Jacqueline Grayson of Travelers Rest; sisters, Dorothy Wheeler of Trenton, NJ; Peggy Edmonds and Patricia Foster of Greer, SC; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and many friends.

Private Services will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 9, 2020  in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Lewis Mills, Officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
