Jerry Lee Thomas

Jerry Lee Thomas 73 of 106 Culpepper Woods Drive, widow of Mary Rice Thomas answered the master’s call on Monday, September 27, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son of the late J. P. Young. and Mary Belle Thomas.

Educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County, he was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Woodruff, SC where he sang on the Gospel and All Male Choirs. He was a former Equipment Transporter for Theo Brothers.

"Buster" as he was affectionately called loved fishing, meeting people and playing spades with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emma Rice,   Helen and Bertha Thomas.

Surviving are his brothers, Donald Jones of Spartanburg, SC, Fred (Josephine) and Johnny Thomas, all of Woodruff, SC, Minister Lewis (Prophetess Jacquelyn) of Greer, SC; sisters, Fannie Jackson of Union, SC and Bessie Andino of Orlando, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends..

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the Rev. John H. Gilmore Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 1, 2021 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Derrick Scurry, officiating.
