John LaRue Drummond

John LaRue Drummond, husband of Karen Christine Drummond of 9 Butterfly Way took his step into Eternity on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in his residence.

Native of Memphis TN, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Fullerton Drummond.

Educated in Tallmadge High School in Akron, Ohio.  He was a US Army Veteran of The Vietnam War, a former General Manager of The Family Dollar Department Store in Akron, Ohio and Canton, Ohio, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

John loved animals especially his dogs and cats. He spent time at the rescue shelters walking dogs and attending injured animals. He brought home many of them. He was an Avid Dallas Cowboy Football Fan.

Also surviving are: sons, Jeremy (Jennifer) Drummond of Media, PA, and Joshua Drummond of Akron, OH; a daughter, Jennifer MacRitchey of Columbus, OH. Four grandchildren; a host of nieces; other relatives and many friends.  

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
