Kolar Leon Evans

Pastor Kolar Leon Evans 76, husband of the former Fannie Mills of 2821 Biggin  Hill Court took his step into eternity on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at his residence.

Native of Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Emma Mae Evans, a former Loom Operator for General Battery, a member of Newburg Apostolic Church in Louisville, KY and a Veteran of The US Army.

Kolar loved to write and read poems, The Baltimore Ravens Football Team and the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Teams were two of his favorites.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Theron Evans, Odessa E. Ivey and Debra Blakley.   

Surviving are: sons, Tommy Mills of Greer, SC, Jeffery Mills of Boiling Springs, SC, Billy and Dwayne Mills of Greer, SC; a daughter, Karen Durham of Greenville, SC; 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and many friends.     

Viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025 in The Fred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary and from 1:00 until 1:45 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Greater St. James Temple in Inman, SC. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Elder Troy Grant officiating.

Burial will be held in M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC at a time to be announced.
