Laura Ann (Kimpton) Guzman

Laura Ann Kimpton Martinez, of 300 Pelham Street, beloved wife of Artemio Martinez Hernandez, entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native of Spartanburg County, Laura was the daughter of the late Richard Granville Kimpton and the late Helen Ann Frost Kimpton. She was a proud 1991 graduate of Greer High School, a dedicated Auto Sales Manager, and a woman of steadfast Baptist Faith.

Laura’s life was marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She is survived by her son, Juan Garcia of Greer, SC; her daughter, Agustina Garcia of Spartanburg, SC; her brothers, Richard Kimpton Jr. of Indiana and Jeff Kimpton of Tryon, NC; her sister, Cindy Kimpton; eleven cherished grandchildren; and a host of extended relatives and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, in the Gilmore Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Needmore Cemetery.

To those who mourn her passing, we are reminded of the comforting promise found in Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Laura’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will continue to shine through all who knew her.
