Marcus Lajuan Blakely

Marcus Lajuan Blakely 44 of 211 Austin St. Apt. 9 entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, August 21, 2023 in Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital.

Native of Greer, SC he was a son of the late Frankie James Miller and Debra Ann Blakely Jones.

Educated in the Public Schools of Greenville County, He was a graduate of Greer High School Class of 1997 where he was a member of the Greer High School Yellow Jackets Wrestling Team and Football Team. He was a former Forklift operator for Refresco of Greer.  

He loved all sports and his favorite Football Teams were The Greer High School Yellow Jackets and The Kansas City Chiefs.   

Surviving are: a son, Demarcus Javon (Khadijah) Brooks of Greenville, SC; sisters, Frankie Blakely of Lyman, SC, Kimberly Davis of Greer, SC and Dianne Barton of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Anthony Woods of Greer, SC and Frankie James Miller, Jr of Greenville, SC; 1 grandchild, Tamiyah Jaqua Brooks of Greenville, SC; nieces; nephews; a special friend, Jessie Lou Miller of the home; a host of other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 5:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2023 in the Rev. John H. Gilmore Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the Chapel of The Gilmore Mortuary with Pastor Courtney Cohen, officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Greer, SC.
