Michael Anthony Wright

Michael Anthony “Possum” Wright 60, of 404 Monarch Place answered The Masters Call on Wednesday June 5, 2024 in Pelham Medical Center, Greer, SC.

Native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Mae Bell Wright and James Edwards, he was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School class of 1983, a former machine operator for Siemens in Spartanburg, SC and a member of Mayfield Chapel Baptist Church.

Michael loved The Philadelphia 76's and The Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald and Arthur Wright.

Surviving are: his wife, Patricia Grayson Wright of the home; a son, Marcus (Tarshel) Wright of Wellford, SC; daughters, Gladys (Ken) Murphy and Mia Mills of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Queen Mullins of Duncan, SC; brothers, Troy Wright and Randy (Marcia) Wright of Duncan, SC, Marvin (Janice) Wright of Greer, SC and Carl (Velma) Wright of Woodruff, SC; a host of other relatives and many friend.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 5:00 pm on Friday in the Alfred Singleton Slumber Room of The Gilmore Mortuary.

His remains will be placed in the church at 10:00 am Saturday

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday in Mayfield Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. George Hicks, officiating.
