Obituary

Miles Grover Lee “Junebug”  Ellis 72, of 536 Lowndes Hill Road answered The Masters Call on October 22, 2022 at his residence.

Native of Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Grover Gilliam and the late Mammie Styles and the widow of the late Geneva Drummond.

Miles was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and a former custodian for the Greenville School District.   

His hobbies were fishing and spending times with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Gentry Ellis and Geraldine Ellis. Daughter Tina Cohen and Grandson Elijah Hughes.

Surviving are: a son, Scotty (Meka) Drummond of Spartanburg, SC; daughters, Tracy Irby, Barbara Ellis (Dwain Davis) all of Greenville, SC, Emma Ellis (Travis Braddy) of Lyman, SC and Trina Cohen of Spartanburg, SC; Grandchildren: Tre (Courtnee) Ellis, Antonio (Christina) Miller, ShaRaye (Joshua) East, AJ Irby, Jmya Hughes, Taylah Hughes, Keyoshia Irby, Tray Irby, Darell Irby and 19 Great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Services and family gathering will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 3pm-5pm at the home of his daughter Barbara Ellis, 536 Lowndes Hill Rd. Greenville, SC 29607.
