Rosa Bell (Webb) Burnside

Rosa Bell Burnside 104, of 2 Lyle Drive, answered the Master’s Call on Monday, September 12, 2022 in McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC.

Native of Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Ella Thompson Webb and the widow of the late Edgar Burnside.

Rosa was an inactive member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Taylors, SC and an associate member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Greer, SC. 

"Bell" as she was so affectionately called loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rufus Webb, Willie Lee Watley and Raymond Chapman.

Surviving are: a daughter Mrs. Ella Watson of the home; a sister, Daisy Chapman of Mauldin, SC; 5 grandchildren, Terry (Mia) Watson of Virginia, Danny (Bridgett) Watson of Taylors, Darlene Watson Dawkins, William Watson and Jamie Watson, all of Taylors, SC; 10 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Viewing will be from 1:00 until 6:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022 in the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of the Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2022 in New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Pastor, Rev. Steve Watson, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mark United Methodist Church Cemetery.
