Terry Dane Brown

Terry Dane Brown, 72, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, peacefully entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2026, while surrounded by the love of his family at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

Born on February 14, 1954, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Terry was the son of the late William Earl Brown and Lee Ann Brown. Terry was a member of the Woodruff Church of God. He attended Spartanburg High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1976 during the Vietnam War. His military service took him from Parris Island to Quantico and overseas to Okinawa. Following his honorable service, Terry built a career as a skilled welder, dedicating many years to his trade.

Outside of work, Terry found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing chess, spending time fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and the countless jokes he shared with family and friends. Even during life’s most difficult moments, Terry’s humor brought smiles to those around him, and that gift will be remembered always.

Terry was preceded in death by his beloved and “beautiful wife,” Patricia Davidson Brown, stepson David Davidson, nephew Joe Lee Stephens and niece Cynthia Lynn White. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sisters, Brenda (Lewis) Solesbee, Trudy Patterson, and Carol (Bill) Burgess; his stepdaughters Kristy and Allison Davidson; his stepson, James Davidson; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and his loyal dog and faithful companion, McStuffins, who remained by his side through the years.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice House for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Terry and his loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House in Terry’s honor.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at MJ Dolly Copper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson S.C.
