Easley, SC: Virgie Lee Bell, 74, husband of Cynthia Ladd Bell of 119 Ascot Drive was called from labor to reward on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Native of Spartanburg County he was the son of the late Simeon “Sim” Bell and the late Martha McIntyre Nesbitt.
Virgie attended the public schools of Greenville County, SC and was a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School where he was a football player for The Lincoln High School Rattlers.
He was a retired Supervisor for The Greenville County Department of Roads and Bridges and a member of One Baptist Church in Easley, SC.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; Laymond and David Nesbitt and his daughter, Crystal Bell.
Also surviving are: a son, Virgie Lamont Bell of Columbia, SC; daughters, Felicia Bell of Greer, SC, Darquisha Bell of Greenville, SC, Enicha (J. R.) Watts of Simpsonville, SC, Kasie Parks-Simpson of Powdersville, SC, Asia Parks of Lawrenceville, GA and LaRaven Carter of Raleigh, NC, and Bonita Bruce of Greenville, SC; a sister, Jokeitha Nesbitt of Greer, SC; 23 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday May 24, 2021 in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Rev Artis J. Bufford and Rev. Miles Goldsmith, officiating.
