William Lawrence McMickens

William Lawrence McMickens, 66, of 299 Miller Rd. Apt #82, a son of the late Washington Lee and Frances Grady McMickens, answered the Master’s call on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his residence.

Native of Greer, SC, he was a former scale operator of Republic Services in Greenville, SC. 

“Rudy” as he was affectionately called, received his formal education in the Greenville County School District where he graduated from Greer High School in the class of 1976.

Rudy loved his nieces, nephews, college football and bowling.

Other than his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Theresa Marshall.

Surviving are: a sister, Annessa McMickens of the home; brother-in-law, James Langdon of Simpsonville, SC; Nieces, Bethany Langdon of Simpsonville, SC, Charity Langdon of Charlotte, NC, Jessica Marshall of Arkansas; Nephews, Isaac Langdon of Mauldin, SC, Terrence Jerel of Hartsville, SC; a special friend, Barbara Huskey of Gaffney, SC. Other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday February 18, 2023 at New Harvest Ministries, in Mauldin, SC. Repast will follow immediately after the memorial service.
