Willie Pearl (Glenn) Whiteside

Willie Pearl Whiteside 76, of 200 Kensington Road entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie Lee Booker Glenn.

Willie Pearl was educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County and was a former seamstress for Mapping Industries in Taylors.

She was a member of Valley Brook Outreach Baptist Church in Pelzer, SC and was known for cooking and baking. She loved canning fruits and vegetables and sewing.

She was predeceased in death by her siblings: Sarah Wallace and Susie Cole and a son, Mitchell Whiteside.

Surviving are: her sons, Converse Glenn, Timmy and Kevin Whiteside, all of Taylors, SC, Willie (Patricia) Glenn of Simpsonville, SC; a daughter, Valerie Whiteside of Atlanta, GA: a brother, Howard (Julia) Glenn of Greer, SC; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until 6:00PM, Friday, November 11, 2022 in the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of the Gilmore Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Valley Brook Outreach Baptist Church in Pelzer, SC with the Pastor Curtis Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Greer, SC.
